Mercedes' Nico Rosberg was presented with the Lorenzo Bandini Trophy for 2011 in a ceremony in Italy on Saturday night. The trophy is awarded annually to a driver who has impressed not only with their speed and on-track achievements, but their character and approach to the sport. It is named in honour of 1960s Formula 1 and sportscar racer Bandini, who died in an accident at the 1967 Monaco Grand Prix.
